WOW Friday looks at ways to create a more gender-equal society. The day is part of Southbank Centre's WOW – Women of the Worldfestival, celebrating women and girls, and looking at the obstacles that prevent them from achieving their potential.
It explores women's futures and asks what we can do today to protect them tomorrow.
Over discussions and workshops, seminars and mentoring sessions, WOW Friday brings together outstanding thought leaders, trailblazers, activists and innovators to debate the issues.
It looks at how ensuring women's futures – in areas including healthcare, entrepreneurship, science and technology, community development, education, business and politics – can ensure a more stable society for all.
The day includes sessions on business and leadership models, cultural change, leadership and policy that can help women achieve their potential.
We examine changing approaches to work and look at how women can learn to take risks, alongside sessions on topics including sex, money and international relations.
WOW Friday also offers free events such as our smash-hit WOW speed mentoring and the WOW Market, featuring ideas and products to fill your mind and your shopping basket.
Throughout the day, you can take in music and performance and make the most of networking opportunities.
Everyone is welcome, whatever your gender and whether or not you are employed.
The event runs from 10am – 6pm
The ticket allows you free access to all the events during the day. (Nb there are no bookings via The Culture Club for this event, book with the venue directly on the link at the top).
