One of our sweetest #busstopkids Josephine and her lovely Mama, Charlotte took themselves off to review this show on Saturday. Charlotte runs the parents website Pramstead. The site is a brilliant resource of all the best family events happening in North London, and the facebook page is the most updated place to check out what's on in any NW postcode, and beyond.
It was our first trip to the Unicorn Theatre, whic is a lovely, creative and warm place only a short, interesting walk from London Bridge station.
The audience were seated as part of the scenery, and remained fully captivated throughout the impressive 45 minute performance. During the show we learnt (alongside Plop the baby owl) why we should all embrace the dark rather than be scared of it.
We give the actors a 10/10 for their performances, and the tree-and branch-like scenery was imaginative setting the atmosphere perfectly. Josephine also loved being served roasted potatoes as part of the performance (she cleverly managed to snatch 3!) whats' more it was a lovely end to the show being able to chat to the cast after the show.
This is a brilliant theatre experience for all 2-6 year olds and we fully recommend you to go! Also, we found the staff to be so friendly and helpful, it really added to making our time at the Unicorn very relaxed and fun. We will definitely be back for more.
PS. Why not top it off by taking silly pictures in front of the Shard and visiting nearby Borough Market for lunch.
