First of all, thank you for this opportunity. We were very curious how such a beautifully written tale could be translated to the stage. Our whole family loves the book and we were very much looking forward to seeing it performed at the Unicorn Theatre.
The performance was a combination of narration, projection imagery and puppetry.

Simple effects were cleverly used for the maximum possible impact and both girls were gripped throughout and absolutely loved the experience. As a parent, I am delighted that they got so much pleasure out of it and they could see how effectively a story can be told with basic materials.
Aine-Daisy (7 and 3/4 years old) liked the special effects and how they used different versions of the Iron Man to narrate different parts of the story.
Fay ( 9 years old ) categorically stated that this is the best adaptation of the Iron Man she had ever seen and much, much better than the film. She also liked how they used the special effects and the fact that she was engaged throughout.
The theatre itself is lovely, the staff is welcoming and the proximity of Borough Market and Thames waterfront transforms the already pleasant visit into a wonderful extended outing.
The only drawback is that there is no option to book the after-show workshop for an adult with more than one child. However, I trust that this issue will be addressed in the near future.
Thank you for the wonderful experience My Culture Club, we will be back again soon.
